Grace Rowe studied Theater, Film and Television, at UCLA and sharpened her skills in production by learning various key positions including lighting, sound, make-up, script coordinating, assistant directing, directing, production coordinating, set decorating, etc. Fascinated by all aspects of production, she quickly learned that her Type A personality and attention to detail made her a perfect candidate for producing. Her mother once asked her when she was a little girl if she wanted to be just an actress and she replied, “Oh no! Producing is where all the power is!”

But producing came as a necessity, not a choice. After shopping her first screenplay, “American Seoul” with no luck for finding financing, Grace decided to produce, write, and act in the short version of the script to show potential financiers what the feature film would look like. Lending four thousand dollars from her mother, Grace wrote a seven page script and produced the short with fellow alum and good friend, Jason Moore. Shot in four days around Los Angeles with the expertise of Alexandre Naufel as the d.p., American Seoul became a festival hit, screening at more than two dozen film festivals worldwide.

After unsuccessfully finding the financing for “American Seoul,” Grace decided to write a feature length film she knew she could produce herself with a much smaller budget. This became “I AM THAT GIRL,” and with the aid of co-producer Nathan Swisher, Grace dived into feature film producing. Pre-production was roughly two months, with a full 32 days of shooting. Once principle photography wrapped, the need for pick-ups became inevitable, and Grace continued to produce the two pick-up shoots on her own. I AM THAT GIRL has won numerous accolades on the film festival circuit, including being nominated for the Grand Jury Prize for Best Narrative Feature Film at the L.A. Asian Pacific Film Festival, and also winning the Best Actress Award from the Yosemite International Film Festival for Grace's portrayal of a self-indulgent party girl who finds love in the Sierras.

Grace is currently working on developing her new script ideas and is seeking out investors for her next feature film.
